Labrador Park

Today the family headed south to Labrador Park. When Toby told a co-worker that's where we were headed, he asked why we were going there- there is nothing there. Well, there is something there- trees, peace and quite and a breeze :)

We started out by walking through the jungle which had the remnants of an old fort. Unfortunately the secret tunnel (yes that's what it's called) was closed, but we got to see observation towers, cannons, and other aspects of the fort.

After we walked through the fort, we got to the water. The walkway was lined with trees which provided shade and there was a breeze coming off of the water. In the picture below you can see the end of Sentosa and Fort Siloso.

There was also this was great playground. It was meant for older kids, but Elyse had fun (with a little help from Toby) climbing around on all of the equipment.

We walked along the water for a bit and watched the boats come and go. The picture below is of Toby and Elyse watching a cruise ship come out of Singapore's Harbour.

Labrador park was wonderfully peaceful. There were not many people around and the weather today was great- the shade and breeze made it very comfortable. There were somethings we missed so we will be back, probably after the secret (shhh) tunnel opens up again.
