Anastasia loves baths. In these videos you can see her repeatedly going into our room where Elyse is about to take a bath (Toby supervising). I would move her to another room and she would crawl back. She didn't really need a bath, but in the end I decided to let her splash around with Elyse for awhile.

GimSports
Yesterday I took the girls to GimSports in Turf City. It's a gymnastics place that has an open gym three days a week. This is the first time I had heard about it. It's amazing how even after 2 1/2 years of being in Singapore that I can find new places to go to.
Both Elyse and Anastasia were a bit overwhelmed when we first got there. Anastasia just sat for awhile taking things in. Elyse would go play on something and then if someone else came by she would hurry back to me. After awhile both girls warmed up to the place and had a good time.

Randon Pictures and Updates
I have been converting my blog into a book and when I was editing it I ran across this picture of Elyse when she was about 20 months old.
I then had this picture which was taken about 2 years later. Look how much she has grown!

The alphabet that Elyse has been creating is done (at least all of the capital letters). I think it looks great and she knows all her letters and all of the sounds they make.
Elyse has been is swim lessons for a few weeks now and we decided to get her some goggles to perhaps motivate her to put her head in the water. She hasn't done that yet, but she sure looks goofy in them. I can see this picture reappearing in a high school year book or something, he, he.
Elyse got these shiny shoes in the mail the other day. She LOVES them! She wears them all of the time. They are covered with glitter which means our house (and ourselves) are also covered in glitter- it's as if we have all been sprinkled with fairy dust. :) If only we could fly...

Disney on Ice
Yesterday (St. Patty's Day) Elyse and I went on a Mommy daughter date to Disney on Ice. Mary looked after Anastasia for the afternoon and took this picture for us:
To get to the Indoor Stadium where the show was being held we decided to take the train. Elyse was great the entire way especially since we took 3 different trains and it took us an hour to get there. Once we were there we went to our meeting place...

And waited for Violet and Gillian to show up. Elyse kept on asking if they were here and then concluded that they should have taken our train instead of another one. She seemed very concerned...
Once Violet was spotted, Elyse was all smiles and all business ("We have to go up here to go to the show! Come on Violet let's go!").
The show started and the girls were mesmerized. The first half was The Little Mermaid and The Lion King. I was impressed that Elyse didn't freak-out during the scary scenes (i.e. the octopus lady and the death of Mufasa).

Elyse has stopped sucking her thumb during the day and so she could pick out a reward. During the intermission Elyse found her "reward" in the form of Tinkerbell shoes :)

Date Night
While my parents were here Toby and I took advantage of the free babysitting and went out on a few dates. One of the times we decided to go out to dinner at a place in Resorts World on Sentosa. Can you tell Toby was excited? (He probably won't like me putting this picture on here...)
They had opened a boardwalk from Vivocity to Sentosa so we decided to walk to the island rather than take the train. It was a nice walk and had moving walkways if you were lazy. Also long the boardwalk were a few restaurants and lookout points.
We were not sure where we wanted to eat so we wandered around and settled on an Irish place. I can't remember the name of it (Mulligans maybe) and that's ok since I probably wouldn't eat there again. Singapore does a lot of things right, but I don't think they should do Irish food...
Although the food wasn't the best, Toby and I were alone together which was the whole point anyway. After dinner we continued to walk around and ran across this candy story which had gigantic lollipop trees (Mom- is this what our lollipop tree would have looked like if we planted one?) I took a picture to show Elyse.
Also on Sentosa is Universal Studios. We didn't go it, but perhaps before we leave Singapore we might give it a go.

Before we headed home we stopped for some caramel corn which was freshly cooked and Amazing. The place originated in Chicago and was on Oprah's favorite things list, but I can't remember the name. (I'm just too lazy right now to look it up).
Resorts World was fun although we hardly did anything. We were not dressed right for the casinos, we didn't see any shows, we didn't bet on any sporting events. I guess I just like hanging out with Toby no matter what we do. :)
I took this picture on our way back over the boardwalk. Toby was very patient while I experimented with my new camera, I love that man! Here's to more date nights!

Grandma and Grandpa- We Love Them
As you know my parents were here for the past few weeks. We loved having them around and, as Elyse put it, "I want them to stay and stay and stay." Saying goodbye was made easier knowing that we will see them again in June when we take our trip to CO. Here are a few more pictures from their visit:

Indoor Fun
When we have visitors they bring stuff from the States that we have requested and sometimes they bring gifts. This headband was a gift to Elyse. The flower is huge and Elyse loves it.
