Date Night

While my parents were here Toby and I took advantage of the free babysitting and went out on a few dates. One of the times we decided to go out to dinner at a place in Resorts World on Sentosa. Can you tell Toby was excited? (He probably won't like me putting this picture on here...)

They had opened a boardwalk from Vivocity to Sentosa so we decided to walk to the island rather than take the train. It was a nice walk and had moving walkways if you were lazy. Also long the boardwalk were a few restaurants and lookout points.

We were not sure where we wanted to eat so we wandered around and settled on an Irish place. I can't remember the name of it (Mulligans maybe) and that's ok since I probably wouldn't eat there again. Singapore does a lot of things right, but I don't think they should do Irish food...

Although the food wasn't the best, Toby and I were alone together which was the whole point anyway. After dinner we continued to walk around and ran across this candy story which had gigantic lollipop trees (Mom- is this what our lollipop tree would have looked like if we planted one?) I took a picture to show Elyse.

Also on Sentosa is Universal Studios. We didn't go it, but perhaps before we leave Singapore we might give it a go.

Before we headed home we stopped for some caramel corn which was freshly cooked and Amazing. The place originated in Chicago and was on Oprah's favorite things list, but I can't remember the name. (I'm just too lazy right now to look it up).
Resorts World was fun although we hardly did anything. We were not dressed right for the casinos, we didn't see any shows, we didn't bet on any sporting events. I guess I just like hanging out with Toby no matter what we do. :)

I took this picture on our way back over the boardwalk. Toby was very patient while I experimented with my new camera, I love that man! Here's to more date nights!
